Yay!! Two posts in a row!!

These are my first three yarn bowls...having an issue with the top of the cut out portion slumping a bit...could be that this clay is softer, porcelain-like, or just that there is no support at that part of the rim. This will not interfere with the purpose of the bowls, so that is a good thing. :)

   We are in a snow storm here in central Alberta...I really wonder just how many snowflakes have fallen across the land today!! The storm has deterred us from driving two hours to my home town this weekend.    The roads are in horrible shape so we probably won't venture out tomorrow either....ah winter in Alberta..what can you do?

This was last weeks snow--makes for a nice photo -  most of it melted...but another 8 to 10 inches in the last 24 hours.

  The good news is that being 'snowed in' did give me the opportunity to unload the kiln and reload a bisque which is cruising along tonight.. So, here are a few photos of some pieces from the glaze load.

Love this... my Floating Blue is always this great green/breaking brown and does get more blue where quite thick.
