In the Bleak Mid-Winter! BLAHHH - SUMMER TIME, SUMMER TIME, SUM- SUM SUMMER TIME! :)

OKAY, PEOPLES! IT IS TIME TO REMEMBER THE WARMTH!  :)

In an effort to help  myself from drifting further into the winter funks... In the next few days I am going to post a few summer photos..to help us all remember the warm summer days, the suns rays cleansing our winter souls..giving us new life, new ideas,  refreshing spring winds to blow out the cob webs...

I love lilies (sorry, can't remember the names of these at the moment) and the pic on the left is the ligularia plant whose leaves make great impressions in clay.

This photo was taken on a stretch of a favourite highway about three hours west of us - ranch land, grain fields and the majestic Rocky Mountains on the horizon.  It was an early morning in mid August as we headed west into British Columbia to 'our lakeside'.  The opening in the clouds lasted a long time, and the rays broadened as we drove.  Very mesmerizing. ;)
